Sue’s dream of life has always been to work with people, plants and healing She loves to help people achieve greater levels of health and well-being and to assist them on their evolutionary journey, to grow and expand into more of their potential, and live more soul-fully.
In 1983 Sue qualified as a medical herbalist, with the National Institute of Medicial Herbalists, and set up her herbal healing practice in Hebden Bridge. She then went on to extend her knowledge and skills, studying nutrition, flower remedies, iridology, chakra balancing and hands on healing. For the last 15 years she has been learning and integrating into her work various shamanic healing arts, including chakra illumination and soul retrieval. In 2004 she met Eliot Cowan and began her study of Plant Spirit Medicine and the Chinese Five Elements, qualifying as a practitioner in 2006. She now finds that the plant spirits come into all her healing work, which is her own unique blend of the different healing techniques she has learn. She is deeply engaged in the world of plants, growing herbs,tending a vegetable and fruit garden, making medicines and flower essences, sharing her knowledge and treating her clients.
Sue completed a 5-year training in the Original teachings of the Delicate Lodge with her teacher White Eagle. In December 2011 she completed the Council guide Training, and in September 2104 , the Black Lodge training. She is also a ‘seed planter’ for the Disciplines of Peace, and qualified as an instructor for the Dance of the Directions in 2015. All these teachings have brought her so much personal transformation and joy that she is deeply committed to sharing them with others, both in groups and in her one to one work with her clients. She has been sharing the teachings of the Beauty Way and running ceremonial sweat lodges for several years, and plans to do so as long as she is able. She carries on with self training, study and reflective and meditative practices.
